When you sign up for one of ECCs’s pre-planned excursions, we will provide you with the specific Treasury Department license information that your trip complies with. Prior to your departure from Cuba, ECC provides all participants with a signed letter enumerating the license information. Customers can use this document if any authority asks about the legality of his or her trip.

ECC is licensed by the United States Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to engage, organize and conduct authorized group travel to Cuba. Our trips allow our travelers to participate in cultural interactions with local people in Cuba.
One type of license ECC can utilize is Support for the Cuban People. The purpose of the Support for the Cuban People license category is that it is intended to support the local people of Cuba by visiting Americans and at the same time, limit any benefits to the Cuban military and government that come from American tourists.
ECC will be responsible in creating and facilitating a full schedule of relevant activities so you can rest assured that your travel is fully compliant with the Treasury Department’s licensing requirements.

When you travel with ECC, you travel under our auspices. This means that ECC ensures the legality of your travel to Cuba under the United States embargo. You will receive a compliance letter from ECC that you can use to verify the legality of your travel when you are applying for security clearance, global entry, or any other US government program.
